Powder coating for Bogart and western Oconee
Bogart straddles the Oconee and Clarke county line along the US-78 and GA-316 corridor, with plenty of acreage, shops and work trucks. That kind of use is hard on a finish, and it's exactly where powder coating beats rattle-can paint. Dropping off a set of wheels or a truckload of parts is a quick trip.
What Bogart customers bring in
Most of our Bogart work is built to be used hard:
- Truck bumpers, steps, racks, lift-kit parts and frames
- Trailer fenders, tongues and brackets
- Tractor, mower and equipment parts that see mud, fertilizer and weather
- Wheels and calipers, with tires dismounted and remounted in-house
- Gates, fencing hardware, mailbox posts and patio furniture
Built for rough use
Heavy-use parts usually show up with rust, grease and old paint. We strip and sandblast them to clean metal, mask threads and bearing surfaces, then spray and oven-cure the powder into a thick, hard shell that resists chips, scratches and corrosion far better than paint. Large items that can't come to the shop can often be blasted on-site. If a part has bushings, our bushing press handles them in-house. More detail on our powder coating page.
Finishes for work and show
Want a tough textured black for a work truck, or a high-gloss color for a show build? We use Prismatic Powders, with thousands of colors and finishes, and can match a sample you bring in. For firearms and small parts that need a thin, heat-resistant finish, ask about Cerakote.
